L.I.F.E Animal Rescue — Adoption Saturdays
When: Every Saturday from 10:00 - 5:00 outside Petsmart in Westlake Village.
Where: Petsmart in Westlake Village!!!
What will I be doing: Want an excuse to the spend day with adorable puppies? Then look no further. As a volunteer, you will be in charge of keeping an eye on one of the pups going up for adoption. On top of petting the pups for hours on end, you will be expected to converse with the prospective adopters about their breed & age. Volunteers are encouraged to spend the whole day, but at minimum must make a 2 hour commitment. Volunteers are needed most to fill the time slots from afternoon to late afternoon! TO SIGN-UP, fill out the "Volunteer Form" below (make sure it it signed by an adult over the age of 18) and bring it in the day you volunteer. Please confirm a time with Colleen Wolfson before you show up.
***NOTE: Volunteers are not allowed to text or play games! Know that if you sign-up, you will be expected to devote your entire attention to the dogs.
Contact info: Before you show up, please email Colleen Wolfson at Homesbyww@aol.com.
Serenity Place Cat Rescue
When: Saturdays and Sundays for 2-4 hours (flexible time schedule)
Where: Woodland Hills near Ventura Blvd. and Winnetka. (Exact address will be provided AFTER you contact Lori Kaelker and receive release and parent consent).
What will I be doing: Before you are able to volunteer, you must attend a training session that will count for Service Learning hours. After this, you will be able to help clean the room where the cats are held, talk to potential adopters, and -- of course -- play with the cats. Understand that you will be taking care of cats and kittens of ALL AGES, so don't come expecting to play only with the kittens.

Contact info: If you are interested in volunteering, contact Lori Kaelker at email@example.com.
Veterinary Angels Medical Center
When: Monday through Friday from 9 - 6. Saturdays from 9 - 2.
Where: Agoura Hills right off the Kanan exit.
What will I be doing: All volunteers will get the chance to interact with different veterinarians and technicians. If you are under 18, you can shadow the doctors, make errands, help prepare food, and clean. In order to walk the animals and interact with them more directly, you must be over 18. As the Animal Hospital is rather small, there is room for only a few volunteers. The staff is looking for dedicated volunteers with a strong interest in animals. You may be asked a few casual “interview” questions before being able to volunteer.
Contact information: If you are interested in volunteering, Contact Ruby Arias (Office Manager) at Officemanager@veterinaryangels.com or (818) 865-1800.
